Broward County Youth Co-Op, Inc. refugee programs are committed to providing guidance to immigrants who may be unemployed, economically disadvantaged, or face barriers to employment. The goal of the program is to meet the needs of refugees by offering counseling, leadership development, mentoring, work experience, financial literacy on-the-job-training, resume preparation, and most importantly job placement to reach self-sufficiency. Youth Co-Op offers an exciting youth program in Broward County that enhances and motivates children from ages 5 to 18 to excel in school and encourages community awareness. During the regular school year, students participate in career planning activities, computer instruction, homework assistance, mentoring, ESOL classes and youth counseling. Youth Co-Op’s Summer Youth Program features cultural events, trips to the museums, arts and crafts, and continued tutoring.
