September 2025 DIY: Hunger Action Totes
Beneficiary:The Pantry of Broward
HandsOn South Florida is proud to dedicate this month’s DIY Project to Hunger Action Month. Across our community, many of our neighbors face the daily challenge of food insecurity. By coming together, we can raise awareness and help provide nutritious food for those in need.
Each month, The Pantry of Broward serves over 600 seniors and grand-families, ensuring they receive food boxes filled with both perishable and non-perishable items. For this DIY Project, volunteers are being asked to collect non-perishable food items and assemble Hunger Action Totes that will be delivered to The Pantry of Broward to support the families they serve.
PLEASE FOLLOW ALL STEPS (missing steps will delay hours verification process):

- Follow the instructions in the packet.
- Fill Out the DIY Documentation Form (THIS STEP IS REQUIRED)
- Mail or drop off your completed project to HandsOn South Florida
**Once you have expressed interest and accessed the instructions , you are free to begin the project and submit upon completion.
DIY collection will be held on the following dates:
September 3rd 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
September 5th 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
September 9th 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
September 15th 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
September 17th10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
September 24th 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
September 29th 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
The last day to drop off the DIY PROJECT will be Monday, September 29th.
Please drop off DIY projects at the HandsOn South Florida office, located at 5815-B North Andrews Way, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309. (Use Google Maps)
*Late DIY Project submissions WILL NOT be accepted*
