Summer Service Camp 2024: Session 1

Summer Service Camp is designed for teens, ages 13-18, to serve their community through participating in a variety of service projects throughout Broward County. This program will inspire, equip, and mobilize youth to take action that changes the world and themselves through service. HandsOn South Florida gives teens the opportunity to see firsthand the issues in their communities and the tools and resources they need to respond and become part of the solution.

During Summer Service Camp, the youth will participate in 2 full days  (Monday and Friday) at Nova Blanche Forman Elementary  School where they will be working on school revitalization projects, team building activities, leadership skills and more.  Wednesday will be a VIRTUAL Day via a TEAMS meeting  due to the schools being closed in observance of Juneteenth. The other 2 days (Tuesday and Thursday) will be off site at varying service locations where they will engage in meaningful service opportunities.

 Dropoff and pickup each day, except for the VIRTUAL Day on Wednesday, 6/19, will be at Nova Blanche Forman Elementary School.

Summer Service Camp 2024 Details:
Week 1: June 17, 2024-June 21, 2024
                 VIRTUAL CAMP DAY via  a TEAMS Meeting  ON WEDNESDAY, 6/19
                  (Virtual hours and details will be provided closer to the start date)

Location: Dropoff & pickup located at Nova Blanche Forman Elementary School
      3521 Davie Rd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33314

Time: 9AM-5PM

Cost: $399/camper (per session). This cost covers transportation to and from service locations, camp t-shirt & swag, pizza Fridays, and project supplies.
 *Note: lunch is only provided on Fridays.

Service Hours: Campers will receive 40 hours of community service.
