Snake Plant Strike Force (Invasive Plant Removal)
We will be digging up invasive plants, especially bowstring hemp (Sansevieria hyacinthoides). Each workday is a Saturday event that will start at 8:30 a.m. and finish by noon. We will provide the tools, gloves, water and other supplies. We require volunteers to wear closed-toe shoes (no flip flops) and long pants.
At our November volunteer opportunity, we'll also be planting native plants.
Volunteers under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Volunteers 13+ must have an adult signature on the Broward County Parks Workday Application. Volunteers 18+, please bring a completed Workday Application.
Free t-shirts are available for volunteers. If you would like a t-shirt, please email Linda Briggs at lbriggs@broward.org with your t-shirt size.
