Reef Sweep and Beach Clean Up
Volunteers from all over will be getting their feet wet while helping the OceanWatch Foundation clean up the reefs and beaches of Broward County. All ages are welcome, but children under 13 must be supervised by an adult. No pre-registration is needed, just show up, rain or shine.
LOCATIONS:Various beaches and piers located between Deerfield Beach and Hollywood:
Deerfield Beach, at the tiki hut across from the fire station
Pompano Beach at the Pier
Lauderdale-by-the-Sea at the Pier
Fort Lauderdale across from Birch State Park
Dania at John U. Lloyd State Park
Hollywood at North Beach Park, Sheridan Street
Hollywood Beach at the Bandshell
Bring:

Gloves
Sunscreen
A Great Attitude
Clean-up dives are planned for two pier locations - Deerfield Beach Pier and Pompano Beach Pier. Divers need to be certified and have their c-cards with them when checking in for dive sites.
PARTY: Later that evening, participants will celebrate their hard work at the reef sweep party, to be held at Briny's Restaurant, Riverfront/Ft. Lauderdale.
