Kitchen/Cafe, Food Pantry, & Clothing/Mailroom Volunteering

First, thank you for your dedication to improving our community's way of life through your valuable volunteer work with us. Your commitment truly makes a positive impact on the lives of others. We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities, so there’s a role that suits your skills and interests. Here are our key four (4) volunteer roles.

Kitchen & Community Cafe Attendants

• Prepare and serve meals
• Maintain a clean, safe kitchen

Food Pantry Attendants

• Prepare food boxes for distribution
• Stock and organize pantry

Clothing & Mailroom Attendants

• Sort and place clothing on display
• Distribute mail to community members

Office Attendants

• Assist with a variety of office tasks
• Prepare mailers and answer telephone

Here's some additional information about volunteering at LifeNet4Families.

Eligibility

• 16 years or older with parents' permission. 
• 6 years or older with accompanying parents.
• Large Groups must contact the Coordinator at djean-paul@LN4F.org or 954.314.9811 for a customized volunteer experience and are encouraged to carpool

Before Volunteering

• Submit online Volunteer Application/ Waiver Form
• Confirm your shift with the Coordinator

During Your Shift

• Ask for the Coordinator upon arrival
• Sign in/out the Volunteer Logbook at the start/end of your shift
• Be friendly and respectful to all
• Follow all task procedures and safety protocols

Dress Code

• Wear comfy, safe attire, closed-toe shoes required
• We provide hairnets, gloves, aprons, masks, and a volunteer t-shirt, as needed

Community Service

• We accept volunteers with minor offenses
• Must present court documents

Student Volunteering

• High school and college students are welcome
• Develop leadership skills and gain valuable work-related experience
