Literacy Mentor - Foundation Montessori
Volunteers that are passionate about early childhood education are needed to assist in the classroom at Foundation Montessori located in Sunrise. By assisting with our preschoolers and elementary students, you will feel so enriched that you are helping a student better themselves to be the best they can be. You will be making a difference, one student at a time. Volunteers may be asked to make copies, assist with art projects, music time, engage the children with sports, assist with homework, literacy activities, tutoring and to assist where it is needed. Volunteers should be prepared to be moving at all times. We recommend wearing sneakers or comfortable close-toed shoes.
Volunteers are needed: Monday-Friday 4 pm-6 pm. Due to requirements of The Florida Department of Children and Families volunteers are required to sign a document called the Volunteer Acknowledgment. When you express interest in this volunteer opportunity, someone will get back to you on that next step.
