June 2025 DIY: Senior Care Kits

Beneficiary: Heart2Heart Outreach
Florida has the largest elderly population in the U.S., and many seniors in South Florida care centers experience loneliness, isolation, and vulnerability due to being far from loved ones and having limited support. Since 2010, Heart2Heart Outreach has helped address these challenges by connecting hundreds of volunteers with over 90 care centers, bringing companionship, care and dignity to thousands of often-overlooked seniors.

For this month’s DIY Project, volunteers are invited to collect and assemble Senior Care Packages for residents in various senior care centers in partnership with Heart2Heart Outreach of South Florida.

PLEASE FOLLOW ALL STEPS (missing steps will delay hours verification process):

3. Follow the instructions in the packet.
4. Fill Out the DIY Documentation Form (THIS STEP IS REQUIRED)
5. Mail or drop off your completed project to HandsOn South Florida

** For all DIY Projects, you do not need to wait for confirmation.
Once you have expressed interest and accessed the instructions (above under "2"), you are free to begin the project and submit upon completion.

DIY collection will be held on the following dates: 
June 4th 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
June 9^th 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
June 16^th 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
June 20^th 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
June 23^rd 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
June 24^th 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
June 25th 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
June 30^th 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM

The last day to drop off the DIY PROJECT will be Monday, June 30^th.

Please drop off DIY projects at the HandsOn South Florida office, located at 5815-B North Andrews Way, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309. (Use Google Maps)

*Late DIY Project submissions WILL NOT be accepted*
