Foundation Montessori Preschool - Volunteers Needed! (Ongoing)

Volunteers are needed to assist head teacher, assist students with physical education activities, arts & crafts, assistance with children, help clean the classroom, and with interactive play.
Volunteer are expected to be a positive role model at all times, and exempt from negative behavior. Volunteers may wear comfortable and appropriate attire with closed toe shoes. Bring a reusable water bottle and bring a hat to use outdoors. When entering school, everyone must wash hands prior to doing any tasks.
We have special need children that require lots of love, special attention and patience. Expect to have callenging days. However, Once you see the smile or the hugs the children give, it's all worth it!

9470 NW 24th Street Sunrise, FL 33322 We are one block North from Sunset Strip between Pine Island & Nob Hill Rd.
Court Ordered Volunteers allowed. But, they cannot have had an incident with a minor or any drugs related. Location is not accessible for someone with limited mobility. However, it they would like to assist with other projects, copy papers, research science activities, etc., they are welcome.
Background Check Required: ALL volunteers need to do a background check through the Children and Families portal through our school. All volunteers need to have a clearance BEFORE they can volunteer. (www.fdle.state.fl.us).

3)  Email Ms. Peggy at (peggy@foundationmontessori.net)  that you have consent from your parent(s), the adult incharge, to do a background check.  Student/Parent have the task to make sure they are keen in the process.
4)  Student contact Foundation Montessori to set up a background screening which will be a $10 fee which Children and Families require from ALL volunteers now.  Make sure your parent(s) is/are available when you contact Ms. Peggy for the background screening authorization.
NOTE: If you signed up to participate as a Literacy Tutor at Foundation Montessori, and need to cancel, please notify the Opportunity Leader, Peggy LaFuente 48 hours prior to your scheduled date and time.
