Support Vulnerable Communities in South Florida - Church World Service Miami

Church World Service (CWS) is a not-for-profit, faith-based organization transforming communities around the globe through just and sustainable solutions to hunger, poverty, displacement, and disaster. Here are some ways you may support your community through our organization: 

1. Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing paperwork, answering phones, and organizing program materials. Provide support to staff members as needed to ensure smooth program operations. 
2. Community Outreach: Assist with outreach efforts to raise awareness about our services and programs, recruit volunteers, raise funds & collect cash and in-kind donations, and engage with the local community to foster understanding and support.                                        
3. Core Services: Provide assistance to newcomers with social services. Help navigate the healthcare system by providing information about services and benefits, scheduling medical appointments, and accompanying them to medical appointments as needed. Support access to education and training programs by providing information about available resources, assisting with enrollment processes, and advocating for educational opportunities. Connect clients with employers and assist with resume building.  

Additional Information: Volunteers are welcome to join our Miami office year-round, anytime within our operating hours - Monday to Friday, from 9AM to 4:45PM. No minimum number of hours required. The minimum volunteer age requirement is 16yrs. with parental consent & 18yrs. with a completed background check and signed copy of the CWS Volunteer Policy and Liability Waiver.
