Sawgrass Nature Center Green Team
What is the Green Team?
The Green Team is a volunteer opportunity that is available on select Saturdays at the Sawgrass Nature Center. It is an outdoor activity that involves weeding, putting down mulch, cleaning outdoor spaces and ocassionally, planting.

Who can volunteer?
Anyone can volunteer with the Green Team. We have no minimum agre requirement. Kids younger than 16 require parental supervision.
Do I earn volunteer hours?
Yes, any student that needs hours for school is welcome to volunteer. Please bring your school forms. If your school requires a letter please let the coordinator know upon arrival so that the letter can be drafter while you work. We do not offer court mandated hours.
What to wear and bring:
- Comfortable clothes to work in
- Sneakers
- Hat
- Gardening gloves
- Water
- Sunscreen
- Bug spray
- Any forms that you need signed
