HandsOn Learning: Earth Day Celebration

Grab your friends and family and come join the HandsOn Learning youth participants as we celebrate Earth Day and assist in the garden at Fruitful Field. Activities include painting a mural on the work shed, prepping the fields for the summer, weeding and trimming plants in the garden, general garden upkeep, planting and special projects around the garden.
This is a wonderful time to get out into the beautiful Florida weather, while making new friends, spending time with old friends and celebrating Earth Day. The farmers market at Fruitful Field will be open.
Volunteers should wear closed-toed shoes and comfortable clothing. A hat, sunscreen and bug spray are recommended. Please bring a refillable bottle to refill your water. If you have gardening gloves, please bring them as we will be working with soil.
All volunteers under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
For one additional service hour, please bring a gardening tool for Fruitful Field to keep at their facility for them to use for future volunteer opportunities.
Each student volunteer will receive 3 service hours for their assistance in the garden.
Gardening assistance needed at Fruitful Field on April 20th from 8:00am-11:00am.
