DIY Volunteer Project: First Responder Care Packages
The Oakland Park Fire Department provides emergency fire suppression and medical services to the residents of Oakland Park. Their mission is to be a high-performance team for the community, providing quality support and aid when needed. With a team of 70, the Oakland Park Fire Department operates through three fire stations.
In remembrance of the fallen heroes from the 9/11 tragedy, HandsOn Broward invites volunteers to create First Responder Care Packages to honor our local Oakland Park Fire Department. Our goal is to collect 70 care packages for every member of the Oakland Park Fire Department.

- Fill Out the DIY Documentation Form (THIS STEP IS REQUIRED)
- Mail or drop off your completed project to HandsOn Broward
** For all DIY Projects, you do not need to wait for confirmation.
Once you have expressed interest and accessed the instructions (above under "2"), you are free to begin the project and submit upon completion.
DIY collection will be held on the following dates:

September 27, 2023 9:00AM - 1:00PM
The last day to drop off the First Responder Care Packages will be Wednesday, September 27, 2023
Age Minimum (with Adult): 10+, Minimum Age:13+, Court Ordered Volunteer - Allowed
