DIY Volunteer Project- October 2019
For the October DIY Project, HandsOn Broward and HandsOn Miami will be partnering together with a focus on Women’s Health. As volunteers, you will be creating Women's Wellness Kits to support initiatives in the community promoting women's health. The beneficiary of the Women’s Wellness Kits will by Women Impacting Neighborhoods (WIN). WIN has been serving South Florida since 2017 with the mission to “creatively inspire and empower women and girls to be prolific members of society by increasing self-awareness of their internal power, improving upon their innate skills and strengthening their ability to enhance their own lives and the communities they participate in.” They provide support to substances abuse facilities and homeless shelters and have directly supported community members struggling with high costs associated with childcare.
