Broward Reads for the Record 2019!
Celebrate literacy by participating in the largest shared reading experience! Jumpstart’s Read for the Record® campaign mobilizes millions of children and adults to celebrate literacy by participating in the largest shared reading experience.
Join us on November 7th, 2019 as we read together in big cities, small towns, and everywhere in between to put children first by shining a spotlight on the importance of high-quality early education. Locally, the Children’s Services Council of Broward County and Broward County Public Schools are coordinating Broward Reads for the Record.
On November 7th between 8:00 AM and 12 PM, volunteers are needed at area childcare centers and elementary schools to read “Thank you, Omu!” by Oge Mora to 40,000 students in 500 VPK centers, 225 schools and 1,500 classrooms throughout Broward County!
When you sign up for this project, you will be asked to:
