Every year, the Children's Services Council and Broward County Schools, HandsOn Broward along with many other community partners, support students with our Back to School Extravaganza events hosted at various community sites throughout the county. The program provides supplies to school-age children identified as living in economically disadvantaged households.

The Children's Services Council's Back to School Community Extravaganza to supply thousands of Broward students with backpacks, school supplies, clothes, and shoes. This event also hosts a resource fair where families can get haircuts, vaccines, and resources to prepare them for the new school year. The event will be held in 3 locations this year to make it even more convenient for the families. Volunteers are critical to the success of this event to ensure families are ready for the new school year, support Broward County families today by registering to volunteer during our event set-up and distribution days.

Event Set-Up Days

Prior to the big event, we need assistance in moving the boxes of backpacks and school supplies, and staging/setting up the room for the backpack stuffers.

Back to School Extravaganza Community Distribution

Volunteers will be assisting in various areas of the distribution event, getting the needed supplies into the hands of the kids and families.
