Fort Lauderdale Beach Sweep with Kids Ecology Corps

Beach Clean-up starts at 7AM

Beach lovers, kids and families and those who enjoy volunteering for a good cause are invited to participate in the monthly Fort Lauderdale Beach Sweep cleanup event to collect litter from beautiful Fort Lauderdale Beach.

The Beach Sweep takes place the second Saturday of every month.

Just a small amount of time can make a huge environmental difference.

 Some important tips:

• Minors 15 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult.

• Students receive community service hours credit.

• Wear appropriate attire and closed-toe shoes (no flip flops).

• Bring a water container, hat and sunscreen. Water will be supplied

• "Like" the Beach Sweep on Facebook and "share" your photos the day of the event.

Unfortunately the City of Fort Lauderdale is not able to provide free parking at this time. There is plenty of paid parking at the new parking garage just north of Las Olas Blvd on the east side of the Intracoastal.

Address and directions to meeting place: 300 S. Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd.  Take Las Olas Blvd to the beach/A1A.  You will see the tent on the beach opposite the Elbow Room.
