A 31st Annual Ocean Conservancy International Coastal Cleanup Event!
In partnership with the Fort Lauderdale Beach Sweep, The City of Fort Lauderdale Neighbor Volunteer Office and Kids Ecology Corps.
Join the Kids Ecology Corps Team on the beach for a family 20 minute “Watershed to the Reef and Beyond” educational program at either 9:30 am or 10:30 am
Kids, families and those who enjoy volunteering for a good cause are invited to participate in this monthly Second Saturday of the Month Fort Lauderdale Beach Sweep cleanup event to help collect litter from Fort Lauderdale Beach.
Just a small amount of time can make a huge environmental difference.
Some important tips:
• Minors 15 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult.
• Students receive community service hours credit.
• Wear appropriate attire and closed-toe shoes (no flip flops).
• Bring a water container, hat and sunscreen. Water will be supplied
• "Like" the Beach Sweep on Facebook and "share" your photos
the day of the event.
Volunteers may park at the Las Olas Intracoastal Lot, 40 Las Olas Circle ( just south of the east ramp of the Las Olas Bridge). Parking is also available at Fort Lauderdale Beach Park South Lot for a fee.
