HandsOn Broward’s goLEAD Youth Leadership Institute
The goLEAD Youth Leadership Institute is a youth leadership program that empowers youth to grow as leaders through service. The goLEAD curriculum enables participants to become strong leaders who are aware of their own potential, communication, and leadership styles. Participants develop critical leadership skills while planning a capstone service project, which is the culmination of the program.
Participants in the goLEAD Youth Leadership Institute will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5PM-7PM from Monday, September 28th – Wednesday, October 28th. Their capstone service project will take place on Wednesday, November 11th (students will be out of school for Veterans Day). Listed below is a breakdown of the program dates:
Class dates:
• Monday, September 28th, 5PM-7PM
• Wednesday, September 30th, 5PM-7PM
• Monday, October 5th, 5PM-7PM
• Wednesday, October 7th, 5PM-7PM
• Monday, October 12th, 5PM-7PM
• Wednesday, October 14th, 5PM-7PM
• Monday, October 19th, 5PM-7PM
• Wednesday, October 21st, 5PM-7PM
• Monday, October 26th, 5PM-7PM
• Wednesday, October 28th, 5PM-7PM
Project date (mandatory for all participants):
• Wednesday, November 11th, time to be determined
Please note Broward County Public School students are off for Veterans Day.
Program Requirements:
• Ages 13-17 years old
• Be enrolled in a Broward County school
• Submit registration packet by Friday, September 18th
• Pay $75 registration fee
