(HOM) M-Path Park Project
Join in on the fun as we support efforts to realize M-Path Park - a winning idea that was pitched during the innaugural round of the Miami Foundation's Our Miami Public Space Challenge!
Volunteers will help transform a public space - located on the south side of the Dadeland North Metrorail station - into a public place. Activities will include trash clean-up and landscape enhancements that will beautify and draw positive attention to the area.
WHY?
Vibrant public spaces build a stronger sense of community by sparking social engagement between Miamians.
By volunteering here, you will be helping to create a more sustainable Miami that supports environmental stewardship, effective transit systems and improved quality of life for all residents. From Florida City to Jupiter, anyone can reach this place with out a car!
NEED TO KNOW:
- To ensure the most meaningful experience, volunteers should be able to bend at the waist, squat and lift up to 20 pounds.
- Wear comfortable, breathable clothing that you don't mind getting dirty - a hat and sunglasses will make your experience even more enjoyable!
- Closed-toe shoes are required for the safety of all involved - flip-flops and sandals are not permitted.
*The M-Path Park Project is a neighborhood initiative aimed to provide a multi-modal park to the Dadeland community. The M-Path Park Project is supported through a generous donation by The Miami Foundation’s Public Space Challenge grant and other community members and sponsors. The Miami Foundation and its partners created the Our Miami Public Space Challenge to discover the best ideas for improving, creating, and activating local public spaces... and this is one of them!
