Volunteer Opportunities with Tomorrow's Rainbow

Tomorrow's Rainbow is a special place for children that have experienced the death of a loved one. Through the use of miniature horse interactions with therapeutic play areas and facilitated peer support, children are given the tools necessary to take their own personal grief journey in a way that is meaningful to them.

The following volunteer opportunities are available - when you express interest, Tomorrow's Rainbow will follow up with you.

Program Facilitator – Caring individuals who are capable of providing emotional support necessary to help guide grieving children through their grief journey.  Facilitators must be at least 16 years of age. Requires a one-year commitment of 6 hours per month, Level 2 background check, attendance of a 20-hour weekend training course, and horse training. Groups meet on Saturdays or Mondays twice a month.

Horse Maintenance – 8-10 AM Sundays. Clean stalls & groom horses.

Ambassador - Ambassadors open doors for Tomorrow’s Rainbow in the community, introducing new people through our Hopeful TEARS Tour.  Responsibilities: Attend at least one Hopeful TEARS tour each year, and host or bring 10–15 guests to Hopeful TEARS Tours annually.  We ask for 1 year, or until the commitment to bring 10 people has been completed.

Community Representative – These volunteers help work trade shows, exhibitor events or networking events to promote the Tomorrow’s Rainbow mission and recruit volunteers.

Special Events – Help with preparation, set up, registration, parking, clean up and numerous other activities at major events that are held here at the farm.
