The 2015 Point-In-Time Count will take place January 26-28, 2015.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
The Point-In-Time Count volunteers will conduct face to face interviews with individuals in order to collect data on the number of people experiencing homelessness. Once a year, volunteers across Broward County join together in an effort to stop the cycle of homelessness and reduce the level of hardship for as many people in our community as possible... and that time has come once again! There is a great demand for flexible, committed volunteers who are ready to learn and work together to help make a difference in their community.
WHEN IT WILL TAKE PLACE
Volunteers will be deployed from one of three sites, in small teams, during various shifts over a three-day period, to complete a census on the homeless population in Broward County. Volunteers are needed January 26th from 5-10 PM and January 27th & 28th between 5 AM and 7 PM.
HOW YOU WILL BE TRAINED
Orientation attendance is mandatory for all new Point-In-Time Count volunteers. The orientation will cover the interview questions, safety protocols, and coordination procedures and regulations.
